  • Evaluate and propose updates to the department's vision, mission, program educational objectives, and program outcomes by analyzing survey results, course evaluation reports, and faculty feedback. Submit suggestions to the Department Chair at the end of each semester.

  • Review and propose adjustments to course contents to align with program outcomes and educational objectives.

  • Prepare and submit curriculum adaptation (transition) guidelines for any program changes.

  • Recommend effective teaching techniques to improve the quality of education and inform the Department Chair accordingly.

  • Examine and propose improvements to student assessment criteria and methods to enhance teaching quality.

  • Review the academic files of students admitted through vertical or horizontal transfers, or through amnesty laws, and prepare exemption/adaptation decisions in accordance with university regulations and submit them to the Department Chair.

  • Oversee the execution of student and staff exchange programs (Erasmus, Farabi, Mevlana), promote participation, manage bilateral agreements, announce program opportunities, ensure course adaptation, and assist with the academic recognition process upon return. Handle all correspondence and provide solutions to any student issues related to these programs. The coordinator is appointed by the Department Chair.

  • Ensure all internship procedures comply with the Faculty of Engineering Internship Directive.

  • Prepare and update the Internship Guide of the Department.

  • Define criteria for selecting internship institutions and evaluate their eligibility.

  • Organize communication with companies and manage approval processes.

  • Oversee internship report format, writing guidelines, and content.

  • Propose evaluation criteria and grading methods.

  • Distribute internship reports among faculty members for evaluation.

  • Prepare and evaluate workplace assessment surveys.

  • Prepare and assess employer/stakeholder feedback surveys.

  • Ensure the delivery and archiving of all forms and reports.

  • Submit an annual report summarizing all internship-related evaluations and recommendations.

Laboratories:

a. Prepare an inventory of equipment, tools, and software available in the departmental laboratories.

b. Ensure proper operation, safety, and maintenance of devices by coordinating with lab supervisors.

c. Plan for sustainability and development of labs and determine infrastructure/software/hardware needs. Submit a report to the Department Chair if necessary.

Classrooms:

a. Evaluate and ensure the suitability of classrooms for instructional purposes, identify needs, and report findings to the Department Chair annually.

b. Monitor the availability and functionality of teaching tools such as overhead projectors, boards, and projection screens.

Department Website:

a. Organize and update the department's website content.

b. Ensure that news about meetings, seminars, symposiums, social projects, and other significant department events and achievements are published on the website.

c. Evaluate the website regularly and submit the assessment report to the Department Chair.

d. Conduct research and provide guidance on implementing new communication tools and technologies.

Surveys:

a. Ensure broader participation and faster data collection in survey studies.

b. Analyze survey results and report findings to the relevant committees and the Department Chair.

  • Supervise the graduation project process in accordance with the Graduation Projects Procedure and report suggestions to the Department Chair.

  • Prepare/update the graduation project presentation guidelines.

  • Organize and improve the evaluation stage of graduation projects in alignment with program outcomes.

  • Evaluate project results based on their achievement of program outcomes and submit a report with suggestions to the Department Chair.

  • Ensure that all forms and project reports are submitted and archived according to specified requirements.

  • Conduct reviews to determine accreditation requirements and submit findings and recommendations to the Department Chair.

  • Coordinate the work of other committees involved in the accreditation process. This includes:
    a. Reviewing and updating all surveys as needed.
    b. Assisting in the administration and evaluation of all surveys.
    c. Advising the Department Chair on how to prepare and evaluate course files and support instructors to eliminate deficiencies.
    d. Analyzing all evaluations and surveys at the end of each semester and reporting them with feedback to the Department Chair.

  • Request necessary documents from committees for the accreditation process and ensure their preparation.

  • Report on the progress and timing of the accreditation process each semester, including any problems encountered.

  • Support the Department Chair in all communication with the Accreditation Institution.

  • Organize scientific, social, and promotional seminars and technical visits for faculty and/or students.

  • Coordinate social events for faculty, students, and alumni (alumni gatherings, networking events, departmental dinners, picnics, etc.).

  • Prepare, update, and evaluate student satisfaction and alumni surveys.

  • Post event announcements on campus boards and the department website.

  • Ensure all event-related documents are stored in an orderly manner.

  • Assist in organizing promotional activities for the department.

  • Submit an annual report of all activities and survey evaluations to the Department Chair.
